Patriots sweep St. Paul in Basketball

It was a tough night for the St. Paul Wildcats at Adams Central Tuesday night as the Patriots would get the doubleheader sweep over the Cats as both teams improve to 5-0 on the season while both St. Paul Squads drop to 1-3.

In the Girls' contest, it was an action-packed first quarter that saw the home team patriots break out to an early 19-14 lead and never looked back. Adams Central led 35-24 at the half and would outscore St. Paul 20-14 in the second half en route to the 55-38 victory

On the Boy's side, Adams Central jumped out to an early 16-5 first-quarter lead before outscoring St. Paul 17-10 in the second quarter to lead 33-15 at the break. The Wildcats outscored the Patriots 10-9 in the 3rd before adding a 14-4 frame in the 4th to the 56-29 win.

The next action for St. Paul will be on Friday at Arcadia/Loup City for a Girls/Boys Doubleheader with the Rebels. The games will be carried on Country 96 with pregame for the girl's game at 5:45 P.M. with the boys to follow.
