GILT Plans summer musical

Grand Island Little Theatre announces the summer musical of the 2025-2026 season “The Marvelous Wonderettes”. This musical was written and created by Roger Bean; Musical Arrangement by Brian William Baker; Orchestration by Michael Borth; Vocal Arrangements by Roger Bean and Brian William Baker. Show dates are June 10, 11, 12 and 13 at 7:30PM and June 14 at 2PM at College Park Auditorium, 3180 West US Highway 34, Grand Island.

This smash Off-Broadway hit takes you to the 1958 Springfield High School prom, where we meet Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy and Suzy: four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts! As we learn about their lives and loves, the girls serenade us with classic ‘50s hits, including “Lollipop”, “Dream Lover”, “Stupid Cupid”, and “Lipstick on Your Collar”. In Act 2, the Wonderettes reunite to take the stage and perform at their ten-year reunion. We learn about the highs and lows the girls have experienced in the past decade and are charmed to find that no matter what life throws their way, they will conquer it together. Featuring over 30 classic ‘50’s and 60’s hits.

Cast members are Steffany Tartaglia as Susie, Jaclyn Smith as Betty Jean, Leah Borer as Cindy Lou and Jana Thompson as Missy.

Directors are Barry Carlson and Dave Hulinsky. Randi Pennell is Music Director, Mark Landis is Accompanist/Pit Boss. Jeannee Mueller Fossberg is Producer. Marilyn Williams is Stage Manager. The pit consists of Darrel Elgert on guitar, Warren Pennell is drummer, Cody Pennell base guitar, Bethany Hulinsky keyboard, Robin Seim and Sara Seim are on reeds.

Tickets are $17 for adults and $12 for students 12 and under, includes tax and processing fee, and can be purchased by calling the Grand Island Little Theatre box office at 308-382-2586, at the door or online through link available on Gilt’s website githeatre.org. 

Student tickets MUST be purchased at Grand Island Little Theatre. Box office hours are Monday through Thursday 9AM to 1PM. Group discounts are available.
