Work Will Begin on N-22, Scotia East to US-281

May 13, 2024 (Grand Island, Neb.) — Weather permitting, work will begin Tuesday, May 28, on N-22, from reference post 15+23 to reference post 24+22, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

Vontz Paving of Hastings is the contractor for this project. Work includes bridge work, guardrail work, flume installation and asphalt paving. Traffic will be maintained with a pilot car and flaggers, as well as temporary traffic signals at the bridges. A 12-foot width restriction will be in effect. Anticipated completion is Nov. 2024.

Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
