Two Arrested After Pursuits on Friday

June 27, 2026 (North Platte, Neb.)  — Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol have arrested two people following separate pursuits Friday.

At approximately 10:40 a.m. Friday, a trooper attempted a traffic stop in Thayer County, near Bruning on County Road 6300. The vehicle, a Chevrolet Malibu, was associated with a suspect who had an active arrest warrant. The driver refused to stop and fled northbound, causing a pursuit to ensue.

The pursuit continued for several miles on country roads before the driver turned westbound on Highway 4. The driver then turned into a driveway and attempted to flee on foot. Troopers caught up with the suspect, but the suspect resisted arrest. He was then taken into custody. The driver, Kevin Dunn, 46, of rural Thayer County, was arrested for willful reckless driving, flight to avoid arrest, obstruction, resisting arrest, and traffic violations.

Friday at approximately 9:30 p.m., a trooper observed a Chevrolet Corvette speeding on Interstate 80 near North Platte, at mile marker 176. The trooper attempted a traffic stop and saw the Corvette exit at mile marker 179 and begin traveling northbound toward Highway 30. The trooper clocked the vehicle traveling at over 110 miles per hour in a 55 miles per hour zone.

As the trooper attempted the traffic stop, the driver refused to stop and began fleeing westbound on Highway 30, causing a pursuit to ensue. The driver continued fleeing and turned northbound on Highway 83. After several miles, the driver stopped the vehicle and fled on foot. The trooper located identifying information inside the vehicle. The entire pursuit lasted approximately 11 minutes.

The driver, Albert Ferrari, 24, was located Saturday morning and booked into Lincoln County Jail for flight to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving, and obstruction.
