St. Francis announces winner of $10,000 ticket

Grand Island- Keagan Palmer from Phillips was the big winner of CHI Health St. Francis Foundation’s annual Ticket to Win raffle drawing on June 4. Palmer’s ticket was drawn for the $10,000 cash grand prize during the free social event held at the hospital. 

The hospital’s premiere fundraiser also awarded a $5,000 cash prize to Dave Parmley from Grand Island. In addition, ten $500 cash card prizes were awarded to Sunny Forrest, Wanda Winder, Gerri Williams, Gerri Williams, Deb Lehl, Kaila Mailahn, Will Armstrong, Anna Fruehling, Cheri Preister and Tracy Bonney Haenke. 

Half of all proceeds from Ticket to Win provides life-saving equipment and training to emergency first responders for unbudgeted items in Hall, Hamilton, Howard, Merrick and Greeley counties–over  $614,907 since its start. 

This year, the remaining half of Ticket to Win funds will be used to create a Baby Bereavement Suite at the hospital, providing a private space for parents grieving the loss of a newborn.
