RTC inmate death

(Lincoln, Neb.) – Duane Schriner #34953, age 69, died Wednesday morning at the Reception and Treatment Center Skilled Nursing Facility.

Schriner’s sentence began on March 30, 1983. He was serving an 60-151 year sentence out of Gosper and Lancaster Counties for second degree sexual assault, burglary, use of a firearm to commit a felony, and escape.  

As is the case whenever an inmate dies in the custody of the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS), a grand jury will conduct an investigation.
