Northwest Volleyball Wins Central Conference Tournament
(York, NE) - The Northwest volleyball team claimed the Central Conference tournament on Saturday in York. The Vikings opened up the tournament on Thursday with pool play winning two matches over Schuyler (25-3, 25-16) and York (16-25, 25-15, 27-25).
Northwest would head back to York on Saturday for bracket play. Northwest would defeat Aurora in the first match of the day 25-22, 25-20. In the semi-finals, the Vikings then defeated Seward 25-22, 25-21. Northwest would match up with York again in the championship match winning in two sets 25-17, 25-17.
Northwest is now 24-8 on the season and will be back in action on Tuesday, October 22nd hosting York (21-9) for the regular season finale.
