Jocelyn Brasher Makes Stop In Kearney

On one of the final stops of her meet and greet tour, Democratic Nominee for Attorney General Jocelyn Brasher made a stop in Kearney to hear from Nebraskans as she looks to become the first female Attorney General in the history of the state. Brasher, a former prosecutor and Assistant Attorney General launched her campaign in February and has hit the ground running focusing on hearing concerns from Nebraskans that they are looking for in an Attorney General.

While she is running as a Democrat on the ticket Brasher said the issues she is running on are Nebraska issues, not Republican or Democrat. Some of the concerns that Brasher shared with CentralNebraskaToday.com was consumer protection, strengthening public safety as well protecting children from online exploitation, along with respecting Nebraska Voters citing that 71% of Nebraska voted to Legalize Medicinal Marijuana in 2024 but current Attorney General Mike Hilgers has focused on blocking the Initiative from going through.

When asked about what her pitch is for the Nebraska Voters when it comes time to decide in November, Brasher said “She is ready to be the People’s lawyer, to serve and represent the people of Nebraska.”
