Home Federal Takes Two At Norfolk
(Norfolk, NE) - It was the season-opening games for Grand Island Home Federal on Wednesday night at Norfolk as the two met up for a doubleheader. Grand Island would take the first game 12-4. GI would lead 3-2 through three innings but then bust the game open in the top of the fourth scoring 6 runs to lead 10-2. Grand Island would add an insurance run in the sixth and the seventh innings. In game two, Home Federal would win by a final score of 6-1. The contest would be nip and tuck for most of the game as both teams scored a run a piece in the second inning. GI Home Federal is 2-0 on the season and will be back in action tonight (Thursday, May 23rd) hosting Hastings for junior/senior games at Ryder Park.
