Hastings House Fire Thursday Night

(Hastings, NE) - Hastings Fire & Rescue responded to a structure fire on Thursday, Dec. 12 in the house at 205 E. Fourth St. Firefighters were dispatched at 7:31 p.m., and the fire was under control around 8:30 p.m. Occupants were evacuated. 

The house was under construction, which hindered firefighting efforts. All utilities had been disconnected prior to the incident.

Hastings Rural Volunteer Fire Department provided mutual aid. Hastings Police Department, Hastings Utilities, and the City of Hastings Street Department also responded to the incident. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
