GICC Softball Downs North Platte

(Doniphan, NE) - The Grand Island Central Catholic softball team defeated North Platte on Tuesday night by a final score of 4-3. North Platte held a 2-0 lead through four innings. GICC would score four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to tie and take the lead in the game for good. North Platte added a run in the top of the sixth. The Crusaders would have four runs on eight hits and no errors in the game. North Platte would have three runs on seven hits and one error in the contest. 

GICC was led by Jocelynn Price, who would have 2 hits and 2 RBIs. Laura Blake had 2 hits in the game. Logan Rainforth would chip in 1 hit and 1 RBI. GICC is now 6-4 on the season and will be back in action on Saturday, September 7th at the Aquinas Catholic Invite.
