Location of Incident: 730 N Diers
Brief Narrative: On 12-12-2024 at approximately 13:14 hours a wanted person call was dispatched to 730 N Diers Ave. where Katelyn Simmons was reported to be located at. Upon arrival officers were
notified Katelyn was inside the bathroom. Katelyn opened the door and then immediately shut the door when she saw officers and would not come out. Officer was able to force the door open, which was being held closed by Katelyn. Katelyn was told she had an arrest warrant for her arrest and given commands to stop and turn around. Katelyn refused to comply and began to tense up her body as well as kick at officers. Officers were kicked by Katelyn and she also grabbed at an officer’s face pulling his glasses off, scratching his face and neck. The Officer had a scratch that broke the skin and caused him to bleed. Katelyn was eventually placed into double locked handcuffs and transported to St. Francis medical center where she was medically cleared. Katelyn was then transported to the Hall County Department of Corrections to be booked in for the York County Warrant, Assault on Police Officer, Obstruction and Resisting Arrest.

Brief Narrative: A female reported her intimate partner caused her pain during a physical altercation. The female reported a box cutter was used to cut her during the altercation. Case is open.
