Brief Narrative: On 06-19-2026 at approximately 16:09 hours a belated income tax return fraud was reported within the city limits of Grand Island Nebraska. Case is open.  On 07-22-2026 at approximately 13:29 hours, Sherry Statler was identified as the suspect and admitted to providing false information on a 2024 tax return and failed to give tax return funds to the victim. Sherry was placed under arrest and booked into the Hall County Department of Corrections.
