GI Home Federal Goes 4-1 In Mike Peterson Tournament

(Lincoln, NE) - The Grand Island Home Federal baseball team went 4-1 at the annual Mike Peterson American Legion Baseball tournament this past weekend. 

Grand Island opened up with two wins on Friday, snagging two wins defeating Elkhorn South, 8-0, and downing Lincoln Southwest, 3-1. 

Home Federal then picked up two more victories on Saturday, winning 12-4 over Bellevue West, and then took down Lincoln Standing Bear, 9-2. Going 4-0 in pool play put GI in a semi-final Sunday matchup with Lincoln East, falling 10-2. 

Grand Island is now 20-8 on the season and will be back in action on Tuesday, June 30th, at Hastings. Listen live on KRGI 1430/105.5 & krgi.com. The Pump & Pantry Pregame Show will start at approximately 7:15 pm.
