Omaha, Neb. -- Creighton Women's Basketball in conjunction with the BIG EAST Conference announced the league schedule for the 2024-25 season on Wednesday, September 25th. Unlike the men's schedule, BIG EAST women's action features an 18-game slate. The Bluejays will play eight teams twice and two teams (Xavier and Marquette) just once.

For the second time in the last three seasons, Creighton will open their BIG EAST account for the 2024-25 season on the road against Xavier on Dec. 4. Following the scuffle with the Bulldogs, four non-conference matchups stand between the Bluejays' and their second BIG EAST brawl of the season, where they will take on St. John's on Dec. 28 as visitors in the Queens.

New Year's Day will mark the beginning of a series of 16 back-to-back BIG EAST battles where, over the month of January, the Bluejays will face an even split of home and road matches, four at home, and four away. That grouping will begin with a matchup between Creighton playing host to Butler on Jan. 1.

Three days after the dogfight with the Bulldogs, Creighton journeys to Rhode Island for a face-off with Providence before returning home on Jan. 8 for a meeting with Marquette.

Hitting the road once again on Jan. 11, the Bluejays will take on Seton Hall before DePaul comes knocking on the doors of D.J Sokol Arena on Jan. 18.

The next three contests feature two road contests sandwiched between a home game. The Bluejays will first take on Butler on Jan. 22 in Indiana before defending their turf in a showdown with Connecticut on Jan. 25. The final game of the month sees the Bluejays jet off to D.C. for a contest with Georgetown on the 29th.

Passing the halfway point of league play as February begins, the Bluejays see more matchups in D.J Sokol Arena, taking on the rest of their BIG EAST foe in a split of five home to three road matches.

The Bluejays first meet with Providence (Feb. 2) before hosting Seton Hall on Feb. 5. Creighton then hits the road for a game against Villanova (Feb. 8) before two games against Georgetown (Feb. 15) and St. John's (Feb. 19) bring the Bluejays back to Omaha.

Creighton finishes off February as guests at DePaul (Feb. 23) and Connecticut (Feb. 27) before closing out league play on March 2 against Villanova, surrounded by the Creighton home crowd.

Tip times, television and arena designations will be determined in the weeks to come.
