Aurora football downs Northwest in a back n forth affair

(Grand Island, NE) - The Aurora Huskies would win their sixth game in a row downing the Northwest Vikings Friday night at Viking Field by a final score of 41-27. Northwest would have a 13-12 lead at halftime. Sam Hartman for the Vikings would have the two touchdowns virtue of the run for Northwest. The big difference in the game was in the second half, two Sam Hartman interceptions would be turned into touchdowns by Aurora. After three quarters the Huskies would lead 27-13. Northwest would cut it to a one-score game but that was short-lived after a Mack Owens touchdown that was set up by a Carols Collazo 70 yard run. Aurora is now 6-2 on the season. The Huskies will host Seward for the regular-season finale next week. Northwest is 4-4 and will be Hastings next Friday night to close out the regular season.
